How we review casinos

Official-source research, regional scope and clear evidence limits. Read what an Etherealo profile establishes.

Begin with the official documents

A profile starts with the exact domain and the public information that can be examined. We prefer official account terms, bonus conditions, payment help, responsible-gambling information and relevant regulator records. Other material can provide context, but a copied review is not a substitute for an operator's rulebook.

The initial publication was researched on 9 October 2026. Each profile names its sources and jurisdiction. A later visit to a different regional page should not silently change the scope of a published claim.

Identify the type of evidence

  • An operator statement records what the operator says about a policy or permission.
  • A public observation records what a page displayed when it was examined.
  • A regulator check records a relevant official record actually examined and matched.
  • A hands-on test would require a real documented account action. None is claimed in the initial profiles.

Those categories answer different questions. An operator's payout estimate is not a measured withdrawal result. A matched licence is not a guarantee of payment performance. A live page is not proof of eligibility in every country.

Follow payments in both directions

We look for deposit and withdrawal methods, ownership checks, routing, fees, thresholds and the starting point of any published processing estimate. The available record may be regional or account-specific. Missing information remains missing rather than being filled with an average from another operator.

If public help and governing terms contain conflicting values, the profile explains the mismatch and points to the applicable account terms. It does not choose the most attractive number just to make a recommendation stronger.

Read offers as conditions

The bonus amount is only one part of a promotion. Relevant questions include the wagering base, contribution, maximum stake, exclusions, expiry, eligibility and cancellation consequences. A universal offer is not advertised where the evidence does not support one.

Our bonus guides separate those questions. Numerical examples are labelled as illustrations when they are not actual operator offers.

Examine products and controls

We use published game and provider information where relevant, without inventing a catalogue count or claiming every title is available to every account. Mobile access is described in the format documented by the operator; a browser route is not automatically called a native app.

Support channels and controls are described as documented unless tested. We look at whether a restriction covers a game category, a product or the whole account. A responsible-play slogan alone does not establish functioning self-exclusion.

Keep licence scope explicit

The domain, entity, licence, activity and jurisdiction should match. Where a licence was only stated by the operator, the profile says so. Where a regulator record was independently checked, that narrower fact is recorded with its source.

We do not describe a casino as lawful everywhere or guaranteed safe. Local rules and operator restrictions must be checked for the visitor's actual circumstances.

Ratings and conclusions

The initial profiles use no numerical casino scores. The evidence is not a consistent set of measured categories that would justify one common scale. A finished review can instead give a specific assessment of the useful documents, unresolved questions and relevant comparison points.

Read the specific analysis and commercial disclosure when evaluating a featured operator. No profile guarantees suitability or a particular account outcome.

Update and correction limits

Operator facts are kept consistent across the directory, comparison and profile. A correction should update the relevant repeated fact as well as the prose that depends on it. A substantive recheck should carry a real update date.

Read the editorial policy and corrections information for the publication's accuracy principles. These profiles are general information and do not replace the current terms that govern an actual account.
